Dodge the feed

Hostile notifications pour down the screen. Move with arrow keys, A/D, your mouse — or drag a thumb anywhere on mobile. Your signal beam fires automatically; your only job is to be somewhere the feed isn't.

Install apps mid-run

Clear a wave, pick one of three apps: pulse AoEs, shields, homing shots, packet magnets, a shady CoinMiner with a real trade-off. Each run's build is yours — and some pairs of apps hide secret named synergies that transform the run.

Bank packets, go deeper

Enemies drop data packets. Everything you collect is banked when the run ends — spend it on permanent upgrades like bigger batteries and faster fingers. Then face the Daily Dive: one seed, whole planet, bragging rights.

⚠ Every 5th wave: THE ALGORITHM surfaces. It has read your data. It knows where you dodge.
⚠ From wave 5: amber-ringed elites start showing up — tougher, faster, worth double. And past the early waves the feed stops falling straight down and begins drifting toward you. Standing still stops being a strategy.

Only Daily Dive runs are ranked, because only they share a seed — a Free Play score isn't comparable to anyone else's. Your first completed Dive each day is your ranked entry; replay as often as you like, but those runs are practice. Scores are checked against what the day's seed can actually produce, so impossible runs don't make the board. What we store.

FAQ

Is Doomscroll free to play?

Yes — completely. It runs in your browser with no download or account. Data packets, the in-game currency, can only be earned by playing; they can never be bought, sold or cashed out. That's a house rule across every Playdeck24 game.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Doomscroll is built thumb-first: drag anywhere on the screen to dodge and your avatar fires automatically. The engine runs a fixed 60 fps simulation designed for mid-range phones. It works in any modern mobile or desktop browser.

What exactly is the Daily Dive?

Once per day (UTC), the game generates a run from a seed shared by every player worldwide — identical enemy waves, boss timings and app drafts. Play it once and compare scores knowing everyone faced the same run. Free Play mode gives you unlimited runs on random seeds.

How do synergies work?

Each of the 15 installable apps carries hidden affinities. Install the right pair and they fuse into one of 20 named synergies — like Stealth Mode, which phases you out of reality every few seconds. Synergies announce themselves when unlocked; finding all 20 is the long game.

Where is my progress saved?

On your device, in your browser's local storage: packets, permanent upgrades, best scores and settings. Nothing is uploaded, and no account exists to leak. Clearing your browser's site data will reset your progress.
